About Tanya Fathers

Hello, my name is Tanya Fathers, and I am a qualified Social Worker with over 22 years of experience working with children, young people, and families. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a diverse range of settings, including St Luke's Anglicare, schools, The Salvation Army, and youth camps, among others.

I have recently completed advanced training in Safeguarding Children and Young People, as well as Mandatory Reporting for schools—both of which are renewed annually to ensure best practices in child safety.

I am deeply passionate about supporting the well-being of children, young people, and families, and I believe one of the key pathways to fostering healthy communities is through involvement in local sporting clubs. My family and I are proud members of the Strathdale Hockey Club, and I consider it an essential part of our community.
